At the age of five I don’t think I really listened to music. I can’t remember if I did, I think I just listened to whatever my partners listened too. Artists like Green Day and Alanis Morissette. There really wasn’t a relationship; the thing was that I didn’t know the different types of music out there, so I just listened to my parent’s music. I guess I though it has to be good, my parents listen to it.
Age ten I started listening to more pop music. Groups like Nsync and Backstreet Boy, and pop female singers like Brittany Spears. I think at the time it Boy bands were the thing. So I listened to it, plus that was all that was on the radio and all you heard about. All of my friends liked that type of music also, so that influenced me too.
About five years after that when I was fifteen I started listen to rock, alternative music. I think I started listen to it because I was going through teenager drama. Like trying to find out who I am, and what I like and dislike. I found that I connected to the songs because it the lyrics talked about what I was going though at the time. What do I listen to now? At the age of nineteen I listen to a varied of music. I listen to rap, hip-pop, but mostly Alternative and rock. It depends on what mood I am in. I would say that I have a big relationship with school. I depend on it a lot to get me though bad times. Songs that talk about the same thing that you are going though and tell you that it is ok, you will survive it.

It's always good to hear someone sing about the same thing you're worried about, so you know you're not alone.
